Big and small clients

Our Stepping Stones Big and Small Clients

The path to success will be filled with both big and small clients.

You have an opportunity to help both on your way to the top of the mountain.

Our colleagues discuss their encounters with clients from all walks of life.

Most of us come from a world of humble beginnings and find ourselves making the best of things with what we have.

Bankers and lending institutions will loan money to those with assets dollar for dollar.

Coming out of college may find you scraping the barrel for upstart capital.

Even with minimal resources a way is found to get your show on the road.

Making a way out of no way is an art form to be shared with those looking to ascend the ladder of success.

If money is not in the bank and  rich relatives have not dropped by to empty a money bag in your lap, make it a priority to build your confidence through the roof.

Building confidence to approach your clients must be high on your priority list.

Clients sense a lack of confidence in us and won’t part with hard earned funds.

Clients will bow at the feet of a person who can make their phone ring from a website or place food on their tables after being shown their true potential.

Add value to the lives of others and they will comply with your requests to do business.

The Law of Attraction is valuable in the pursuit of clients, you receive what you emanate.

Desperation and fear attract clients that are fearful and desperate.

Fearful clients can be your worst nightmare and demand a lot of your time.

Take the time to pave your way with words and then build them a bridge to the final destination.

Confident clients look for our confidence in the work that we do for them.

Bread and butter services in our dental facility come from  our delivery to daily routine small accounts.

Big clients when they come are far and in-between.

Dental implant cases require trust to close and deliver.

It takes time to build trust and make clients feel you are the best person suited to care for their needs.

Build trust on your website with quality content and people bond to the goodwill you generate.

Big and small clients are both equally important to our overall success, plan for them both with confidence.

When You're Happy

When You’re Happy

When you’re happy confidence rises through the roof.

Lose your front teeth and confidence is lost in your ability to smile right along with them.

Pharrell Williams sings a song entitled “Happy”.

He says, “Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof.

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth.

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you.”

In Dentistry patients who have lost their front teeth are made to feel happy after they are replaced.

Professor Markus B. Blatz said it best, “the goal remains the same for our surgical and our restorative interventions: we try to mimic nature as closely as possible.”

We see the loss of teeth in daily accidents from sporting injuries, automobile collisions, and tooth loss due to periodontal disease.

The options for the replacement of missing teeth are few when you consider which option avails the ability to chew with maximum efficiency.

Dental implant placement provides the stability necessary for optimal mastication.

Keeping Dr. Blatz’s goal in mind, we now see a merging of medical imaging and dental software that allows virtual surgery to be performed, mapped out well in advance of actual surgical procedures.

In this manner intervening variables can be controlled and planned for in the actual surgery.

Potential problems can be discussed with the patient for greater understanding how to proceed.

Surgical procedures are no longer looked upon as vague and the patient left outside the circle of understanding now bonds with the  team.

When you’re happy you place your body in a state of greater confront of the unknown.

The public becomes better informed when the role of a knowledgeable patient is understood.

Knowledgeable patients become a greater part of the healing process.

It becomes very difficult seeing patients drop out of their social affairs because of missing teeth.

Life requires a healthy smile to advance in all levels of social structure, business and personal.

When you’re happy a smile is worn on your face even if appreciated only by you and your dentist.

Why Dentures Gag

Dental Technology
Mini Dental Implants

Mini dental implants are one way dentists are able to replace missing teeth or provide stability for the support of dentures.

In the lower anterior segment of the mouth where teeth are narrow, there is minimal room attempting to replace the lower missing incisor teeth.

Upper lateral incisors are another area where roots are smaller and able to accommodate mini dental implants.

Because of the narrow circumference of these implants there is hesitancy reporting their durability in the molar areas.

Lectures report in molar areas it requires two of the mini implants to support a molar replacement crown.

Dental implant technology in the molar area provides large platforms, wide implants to replace molars.

Premolar and cuspid areas require moderate platforms, medium sized dental implants.

The major concern in choosing dental implant systems is understanding all the variables in considering what implant to use in a certain situation.

Different bone types call for dental implant systems compatible with the density of the bone.

Implants must be embedded within bone for stability.

Teeth may be flared or tilted at an angle to flow with the existing and surrounding teeth in order to provide maximum esthetics.

For this reason implants must also have the capacity to provide for flare, tilt, and angled characteristics.

Ask your dentist to explain these various characteristics in conjunction with his/her choice in making the best selection of dental implant for your particular problem.

The patient in this mock discussion is David, age 54 with several lower anterior and posterior missing teeth.

To restore David’s missing teeth in the anterior where spaces are narrow, mini dental implants will be used.

David has also been diagnosed with bruxism, night grinding.

Bruxism requires having the most stable system possible for the durability of the case.

In the molar area to make the case successful a large implant will anchor the missing molars with 2 moderately sized implants placed in the position of the two missing premolar teeth.

Mini dental implants provide an economical way of replacing missing teeth and  patients must understand the key to any successful case is good treatment planning for stability.

Home care for dental implants

Home care for dental implants

Home care for dental implants prolongs the lifespan of your precious investment.

The placement of implants is like replacing your missing teeth.

You also gain greater stability with their placement.

One of the highest success rates in the dental delivery system belongs to implants.

Because they equate to replacing your teeth with great functionality, routine check-ups are a great plus point.

I render emergency dental care in Kansas City.

Emergency dental care is appreciated by patients who show up at our door.

In the dental office dentists and hygienists will care for your preventative oral hygiene services.

Dental implants require special tools made of titanium like the implant to remove tartar and plaque.

Carbon fiber resin instruments are also employed for proper oral hygiene in the dental office.

Like your natural teeth, implants collect tartar, plaque and food debris.

The greater amount of time for the hygiene cycle is done by the patient  during home care for dental implants.

Patients are educated regarding how to properly clean their new teeth.

Scraping titanium without the appropriate tools places scratches on the sub-gingival surfaces.

Scratches aid in plaque accumulation and must be avoided if possible.

Implants have become the standard of care in Dentistry.

We now say to the public crowns, bridges and dental implants improve function of the dentition.

Scratches trap more plaque and tartar and must be avoided.

Great care is taken while cleaning dental implants to protect your investment.

Removable parts of the dental implant system are fabricated for maximum cleansing and oral hygiene.

Oral irrigation is a first line of prevention at home.

Bridge threaders, proxi-brushes and super floss enable easy access to the underneath portions of fixed dental prostheses.

It is extremely motivating for the dental team to see patients involved in good home care for dental implants.

Implants along with crowns and bridges have become the standard of care in Dentistry.

We now say to the public crowns, bridges and dental implants protect teeth.

Weak non-restorable teeth become candidates for extraction because dental implants are stronger anchors, used as abutment teeth.

You keep the anchors strong with  well thought out home care for dental implants.

Hope for edentulous patients

Hope for edentulous patients has been a realty for many years.

Your general family dentist becomes the architect that develops a treatment plan in order to properly restore your ability to smile and chew more effectively.

Patients that wear dentures on average get them replaced every 5-7 years.

Technology improves our ability to deliver very natural looking teeth.

It becomes very difficult for the public to know if you are wearing dentures.

I render emergency dental care in Kansas City.

Dental implants in KC have a high success rate because of effective treatment planning.

Denture patients come into our office practically  in a condition of almost giving up on the fact that something can be done for them.

Heavy amounts of Poly-grip keep dentures stable for a while.

To really enjoy a meal some patients tell me they eat with their dentures out of the mouth.

Dentures seal the palate reducing a patient’s sensation of taste.

Men tell us the last thing they feel they have worth living for is the experience of eating a scrumptious meal.

We live longer with the knowledge we eat to live and not the opposite of this truism.

Getting patients ready for dentures is creating a mindset there is hope for edentulous patients.

Taking a patient to the next level means getting mentally prepared for dental implants.

Dental implant technology is close as it comes to replacing your natural teeth.

You improve the stability of your teeth making an investment in your oral health.

Patients concerned whether there is enough available bone for dental implants should receive a comprehensive examination before making the decision to proceed.

Bone augmentation procedures are available to patients with compromised support.

Treatment can be planned and performed using virtual procedures ensuring accurate diagnostics, planning and implant placement.

Three dimensional software allows for detailed diagnostics such as the identification of available bone.

Implants are placed virtually making surgery predictable.

Software provides accurate placement of dental implants.

Long term solutions are available after implants are placed.

Hope for edentulous patients comes with sincere preparation and treatment planning.

Importance of Your Dental Health

Successful dental implant concepts were discussed this afternoon by speakers at the downtown Marriott in Kansas City, Missouri.

The topic “Optimal Treatment Solutions for Edentulous Patients Using the All-on-4 Treatment”.

Speakers are Dr. Ken Parrish and Mr. Joe Coursey, Certified Dental Technician.

I render emergency dental care in Kansas City.

Emergency dental care delivers many treatment modalities.

Dental implant concepts enhance our understanding of the many aspects of implantology as a science.

The sponsor of the meeting is Nobel Biocare a world leader in the education of dental implants.

A special point throughout the seminar revealed an implant known as NobelActive is successful and predictable under demanding conditions such as immediate post-extraction tooth replacements.

It is also reported this implant helps maintain marginal bone.

Immediate-function protocols involving the use of implant-supported prostheses for the rehabilitation of completely edentulous mandibles are documented as having high success rates.

This is a very predictable procedure for the long-term.

The loss of posterior teeth, particularly at an early age, leads to the loss of alveolar bone.

This often prohibits placement of  implants in the posterior regions.

An alternative could be the use of tilted implants, which allows for maximum use of the existing bone and placement of posterior fixed teeth with minimum cantilevers, in a region where bone height and nerve proximity does not allow for the placement of axial implants.

The all-on-4 implant concept was developed to overcome anatomical limitations in the mandible that make it challenging to treat without the use of more complex techniques.

This concept has up to 10 years of follow-up.

A common condition in elderly patients is the occurrence of edentulism, which can be the result of many factors such as poor oral hygiene, dental caries, and periodontal disease.

There are also those patients who face edentulism due to a terminal non-restorable dentition.

The routine treatment for edentulism has been conventional dentures.

National epidemiological survey data in the United States suggested that the adult population in need of 1 or 2 dentures would increase from 35.4 million adults in 2000 to 37.0 million adults in 2020.

Many patients wearing complete dentures complain about poor masticatory performance, loss of function, decreased motor control of the tongue, reduced bite force, and diminished oral sensory function.

Make decisions to accept treatment with these dental implant concepts.

Importance of Your Dental Health

Importance of Your Dental Health Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions in more recent times are performed keeping in mind the patient at some point will consider dental implants.

Dental implants require a certain degree of bone to be viable over the patient’s lifetime.

Preservation of the bone is a critical step in proper treatment planning.

I render emergency dental care in Kansas City.

Your dental emergency in KC may require tooth extractions.

Patients having teeth removed are now given the opportunity to receive bone grafts in the areas of the surgical sites.

The bone will atrophy down to the bottom level of  tooth roots.

For this reason oral surgeons advise our patients to not prolong dental implant placement.

Implants maintain the integrity of the jawbone level very similar to the stimulation of bone from the actual teeth.

A routine extraction requires the elevation of a tooth from its socket.

Surgical removal of teeth are handled with care taken in the process of sectioning the tooth mass and when necessary reducing the interference locking the tooth in bone.

Oral surgeons use a bone reduction guide to help in planning difficult prosthetic cases.

It takes 1-2 years for bone resorption to occur in the oral cavity.

A good rule of thumb is to measure the jawbone twice before any reduction, a rule used by carpenters to not waste time and materials.

Patients that display a gummy smile profile are difficult cases to restore due to the major concern, not enough bone is removed to set-up teeth for an upper denture.

If not enough bone is removed the restoring dentist has minimal room to restore the case.

Minimal room results in a less than ideal placement of teeth.

The denture can be remade for greater esthetics with bone resorption occurring after the 1-2 year period.

Not everyone wears a lower denture successfully.

We advise patients who must wear lower dentures, a permanent soft liner will stabilize excessive sliding of the denture.

A minimum ideally of 4 implants give greater stability to lower dentures.

Tooth extractions can be performed with minimal discomfort to the patient.

Knowing the tolerance levels of your patient is an important factor in planning the removal of teeth.
