Dentists practicing holistic dentistry
Dentists Practicing Holistic Health

Dentists practicing holistic health provide solutions for their patients that improve the overall health of the patient.

In my 38 years of practicing dentistry the delivery of holistic health regimens is one of the most rewarding.

We teach our patients non-toxic methods of addressing their homecare regimens.

There are alternative treatments to prescription medication for ailments of the oral cavity.

Testimonials from patients to this fact are greatly appreciated by dentists.

The young lady in this photograph tells our office how much she appreciates her new smile.

A smile is the number one expression of a person’s identity..

It is able to boost confidence and enables you to share your new identity with all you meet from day to day.

Great gains are made being an active participant in the ongoing maintenance of your own oral healthcare.

Oral irrigation has proven to be an excellent non-toxic regimen to greatly reduce plaque and tartar build up.

Our patients can also combat oral pathogens with essential oils like Pepperment oil. The therapeutic dose of Peppermint oil is 1 drop of oil in 1 ounce of water. This is a great way to treat halitosis.

It was also used in the treatment of colds, flu, nervous disorders, cholera, and to ease tension headaches.

Peppermint oil, due to its antiseptic properties, is very beneficial in dental care. It likewise gets rid of foul breath and assists teeth and gums fight off harmful bacteria. Unsurprisingly, these attributes are why it is added to many toothpastes, and it has likewise been revealed to be helpful in the treatment of toothaches.
At times, the inhalation of peppermint oil vapor can be anti-inflammatory and discomfort relieving, so it can even be added to postoperative oxygen, particularly after oral surgeries.

Coconut oil can also be used as a swish to improve periodontal heath.

Dentists practicing holistic health greatly reduce the need for prescription medications.

There are many occasions when antibiotics are necessary to reduce infections of the oral cavity.

After they run their course antibiotics kill the good and bad bacteria of the body.

An unbalance of normal body flora is the road to a compromised immune system.

After antibiotic therapy the flora must be rebalanced for optimal health.

Dentists practicing holistic health recommend probiotics that restore the balance of good and bad bacteria.

Yogart with active cultures of lactobacillus can also be used in this restoration process.

The active ingredient in many whitening tooth paste is hydrogen peroxide.

If you have used toothpaste whiteners with hydrogen peroxide discontinue their use for several weeks.

Hypersensitivity will reduce after cessation of toothpaste with whiteners.

Dentists practicing holistic health use these treatment modalities to help many patients.

Practice dentistry outside USA

Practice dentistry outside USA to treat the world community.

The world community appreciates the care rendered by those who find themselves practicing dentistry on foreign shores.

Dentistry is an industry practiced in the United States at a very high level.

Dentists take the time to pursue continuing education courses throughout their careers.

After retirement there are many opportunities to remain active in the field of dentistry.

Our dental team has practiced emergency dental care for 37 years.

We practice dentistry outside USA when the opportunity comes our way.

During our retirement years is a great time to experience new friends in distant lands.

Children of the world tug at your heart strings reminding you love exists in the most remote places.

The world runs on crisis management and desires the services of those willing to give their time and skills to the less fortunate.

Some of our best ambassadors are the delegations formed by healthcare professionals.

Healthcare professionals travel the world known overall for their willingness to spread goodwill.

A child is made whole after a cleft lip is surgically repaired by a gifted surgeon.

Communication comes in many forms if words get lost because of language barriers.

Smling patients are always appreciated by healthcare professionals after treatment has been rendered.

We receive more benefits being loved by those we treat than the valuable services deposited in remote communities.

Practice dentistry outside USA and experience what some only dream about achieving.

Retirement has a way of providing the freedom to travel without restricted busy work schedules.

You meet seasoned veterans in the dental profession at the peak of their careers willing and able to care for others.

Retirement does not have to be lived from a rocking chair.

Our dental team has been rewarded just in knowing how much our services are appreciated.

Practice dentistry outside USA appreciated by those that need you the most.

Mars Minded

Mars minded individuals are listening to current events discussed about Mars.

Radio programs, movies and the Internet keep the planet Mars on our minds daily.

Volunteers who decide to go in the first wave of space travelers must be adaptable

to the confines of spaceships and harsh conditions becoming  Mars minded.

Dental care now and into the future should be viewed with preventative practices in mind.

Preventative dental care reduces the risk of emergency dental care.

America has sent several probes to the planet reporting data as they roam the terrain.

One of the topics that interest many of us is the distance to Mars from Earth.

Mars and Earth can be (401 million km) 249 million miles apart during times they are not at optimum alignment.

When these 2 planets are at their closest 33.9 million miles (54.6 million km) is the time you have your launch window.

The distance varies greatly, depending on both planets’ position in their orbits.

That translates to an average distance of 12.5 light minutes.

Transmissios from Mars rovers take an average 4 minutes to 24 minutes depending on Mar’s current distance from Earth.

Land rovers on Mars send and receive electro-magnetic waves at the speed of light.

An electro-magnetic signal can be received from millions of miles away.

The speed of light is roughly 300,000 km/second.

In theory Mars Minded  individuals study the alignment of planets and acknowledge when Mars is at its closest

point to the sun and Earth is at its farthest point. Research finds this has never happen in recorded history.

According to NASA a vessel with humans on it would take roughly six months to travel to Mars

and another six months to travel back from Mars.

In addition, astronauts would have to stay 18-20 months on Mars before the planets re-align for a return trip.

In all, the mission would take roughly 2 1/2 years.

Remain Mars minded to understand the passion of the new explorer.

Peaceful Times

Take time to focus on the peaceful times that come to us.

In the quiet and stillness of each day is another opportunity to experience life’s peace.

The workplace becomes a war room where daily battles are won or lost  planning  the hours, days, months and years to come.

My workplace is in the niche emergency dental care where war is waged upon tooth  decay and the gum disease process gingivitis.

Chaos and turmoil must be handled to bring about a peaceful environment in a dental office.

Our ability to handle chaos and confusion bring our dental team peace.

What brings you peace in your workplace?

Outside the workplace however, we live in a time where there are wars and rumors of wars.

Sun Tzu states in his book, “.The Art Of War”, According as circumstances are favorable, one should modify one’s plans.

Those who understand warfare fight their battles after the war has already been won.

“All warfare is based on deception. Hence when able to attack we must seem unable. When using our forces we must seem inactive. When we are near we make the enemy believe we are far away. When far away we must make the enemy believe we are near.”

Peaceful times call for an understanding of war to maintain peace.

Know the pillars that support a high degree of peace in one’s life.

*The pillars exist as readiness to wage war when threatened or attacked.

Peace is a state of completeness supported by pillars and not necessarily the absence of war.

*Prosperity is a pillar of peace.

Claiming your destiny says to the world, “I can be prosperous in spite of the best or worst of times.”

*Safety and a sense of well being exist as another pillar of peace.

You bring peace into the lives of those around you when able to provide safety and a sense of well being.

*Optimal health and strength are another pillar of peace.

Attention to details helps in bringing about optimal health and strength.

Certainty you have done all that is necessary to achieve a high level of health supports this pillar.

Peaceful times are within your grasp in spite of chaos and adversity.

Personal Retirement Plans

Personal retirement plans are well thought out and developed over many years.

Talk to patients that we serve through emergency dental care and you hear their stories preparing for retirement.

Statistics reveal over 20 percent of dentists in America are practicing in the state of California.

California has drawn people because of its beaches, mountains and fair weather throughout the year.

The state is a great place to retire if you’ve invested properly throughout the years.

To plan for retirement paying yourself first must occur on a regular basis in order to prepare your nest egg for the future.

The pictures at the bottom of the page were taken during a recent trip to California.

There is a force that draws you to California beaches.

Seagulls floating in timeless flight, the sound of surf breaking over rocks, and the grace of youth riding waves are delightful sights.

Travel the world and you meet a steady stream of people living their dreams.

Personal retirement plans come to life living your dreams one workday at a time.

Make dreams your own without adopting the plans and dreams of others.

A dental patient about to retire shared the following story.

On a regular basis at work employees share their personal retirement plans.

One man told me he would soon retire and go fishing several days per week.

In the hot months of summer he left home on several occasions to spend time testing his new fishing gear.

Bugs, weeds, and potential encounters with snakes brought him to the conclusion he was not cut out to be a fisherman.

He had heard other employees talk of their enjoyment and peace while fishing.

This was the dream of others but not his own. The man had failed to plan for his own retirement.

California and other expensive to live states, draw you into their communities.

It takes every cent you make just to place food on the table and keep a roof over your head.

Look at living arrangements within your means.

Retirement is a time to cut back and downsize to live well.

You will find many areas in the world where you can live for a fraction of livng expenses in America.

We work most of our adult lives in preparation for retirement.

Personal retirement plans can be dreams fulfilled if well thought out and doable.

Eating Eggs Good Nutrition

Eating eggs good nutrition.

On a website Bio – Trust the following information was obtained regarding the nutritional value of eggs.

Eatng eggs good nutrition the reason I am a proponent of eating the entire egg.

Daily workouts in the gym bring you face to face with other men who share their current level of nutritional knowledge.

One man in particular understood the value of eating boiled eggs before working out.

He would throw away the yellow egg yokes, consuming only the egg whites.

The man was convinced the yokes would raise his  blood cholesterol levels.

Egg yokes raising cholesterol levels in the bloodstream is a common myth.

Study this science in nutrition about eggs to receive their maximum benefit.

Bio – Trust is a nutritional site that provides great information. They reveal the following  information about eggs.
We recently had the pleasure of entertaining many of our closest friends and family members, quite a few who stayed and crashed at our place. Upon awakening, the obvious answer to the question, “What’s for breakfast?” was eggs.
You see, I like eggs and tend to eat a lot of them. I mean, who doesn’t love a good omelet, right?
Now, I’m sure you’ve heard a time or two before that you should be mindful of consuming too many eggs as their cholesterol content is rather high.
I’ve even heard the recommendation that eggs should only be eaten once per week to avoid cholesterol issues. If that’s the case, I’m in big trouble.
Fortunately, it’s not. Eatng eggs good nutrition.
The Truth About Eggs and Cholesterol
You see, for years we have been told that cholesterol intake should be kept to a bare minimum under the presumption that doing so will help to decrease blood cholesterol levels and promote overall health. While this theory of lowering dietary cholesterol intake to lower blood cholesterol makes sense, it doesn’t quite pan out that way.
Fact is, despite its bad rap, cholesterol is as necessary for human health as water or oxygen. Cholesterol is an essential building block of your cell walls (i.e., cell membranes), it helps form the protective covering that surrounds your nerves, and it’s used to synthesize important hormones, like testosterone and estrogen.

A great percentage of the brain is chleterol.

Use this knowledge because eating eggs good nutrition.

Magnificent Seven

Magnificient Seven, good versus evil.

Magnificent Seven is the remake of a movie

with a great cast similar to our dental team.

Our dental team reminds me of the magnificent seven, working daily in life’s trenches for the greater good of others.

Good triumphing over evil  is a movie to look forward to viewing providng quality acting and great sound effects.

The dental industry wins where good versus evil is the fight against cavities and gum disease.

The magnificent seven in dentistry is your dental team willing and able to handle the villains that work against optimal dental health.

Look at the disease process that destroys teeth, dentists in Emergency Dental Care know all too well we win with adherence to quality patient education.

Dental treatment plans are scripted for patients in the same manner written by Antoine Fuqua, a great movie director.

The backdrop for the movie is a California town called Rose Creek.

Our villain lives in Sacramento, California, a 3 day ride by horseback from Rose Creek.

The villain is an industrialist in early America, your typical robber baron to the letter of the term as indicated in the movie.

Robber baron per Wikipedia is a deragatory metaphor of social criticism originally applied to certain late 19th century American business men who used unscrupulous methods of getting rich.

The villian in Magnificent Seven was a robber baron abusing the rights of those in Rose Creek.

Industrial growth transformed American Society, trodding upon the backs of laborers.

In the worst of times dentists were called upon to treat the downtrodden who worked in America’s factories. Usually workers slaved long hours before ratifying contracts through negotiations in labor unions.

Today dental patients who remain in the workforce may find it troubling to locate clinics open late.

After hours care facilities have always been necessary for access to emergency dental care.

Next time you visit a dental office, look at the instruments and equipment surrounding you as the armamentarium that fights the villain commonly known as dental disease.

The magnificent seven in dentistry, the members of your dental team, are responsible for optimum oral health.

The science behind dental implants is truly amazing to those who study this technology.

Great benefits in the field of science come to us each time a space mission is completed.

Science behind dental implants

Dental implants have been in existence for the past 50 years, fabricated from a titanium alloy.

Yorba Linda, California, is home to a leader in the industry of dental implant technology, Nobel Biocare.

They exist as one of those creative companies on the cutting edge of this technology.

A recent tour of their facility will help you to understand exactly why they are known as a leader in the science behind dental implants.

The greater Kansas City Dental Implant Society is in Yorba Linda today to hear noted clinician and speaker, Dr. Nader Salib, an oral and maxilofacial surgeon.

He practices in Catalina Island, California, a beautiful and picturesque area of the country.

Arriving at the business complex for our meeting reminds me of Silicon Valley. This nickname was designated for the southern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area in the northern part of California.

The valley in its name refers to the Santa Clara Valley in Santa Clara County.

America remains a leader in creativity throughout the world.

Look at Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, Boeing  and Hallmark Cards to name a few companies spawned from the creative minds of inspired individuals.

Dr. Salib informed his audience of dental professionals that inadequate hard tissue is a major problem that dentists must address in the placement of dental implants.

After understanding the science behind dental implants bone quantity and quality are major factors.

We were informed state of the art technology calls for proper treatment planning and computer guided implant surgery.

Guided surgery greatly reduces the risk of improperly placing implants.

The surgeon will use this technique with bone scans providing 3 dimensional orientation in the overall planning.

Defects and irregularities in the bony anatomy are readily identified after visualization with 3 dimnsional scans.

Patients that undergo tooth extraction procedures are thankful to know the remaining jawbone can be preserved at the time teeth are removed.

Synthetic bone grafting procedures restore defects remaining after tooth extraction.

In general tooth loss leads to bone loss.

Disuse atrophy is well known when teeth are loss, similar to a patient confined to a wheelchair.

Muscles and bone tissue become smaller from disuse.

Patients must understand their role in this process to not procrastinate getting an early consultation

for the best possible treatment outcome.

Dentist study the science behind implants to also educate patients about the role they play in seeking needed care.

Eating heavy doses of sugar

Eating heavy doses of sugar eventually takes it’s toll on the human body.

In all major cities you will find healthcare facilities involved in the treatment of sugar’s damage to major organ systems. Rampant tooth decay is evident in the oral cavity of those ingesting excessive amounts of sugar.

Excessve ingestion of chemicals like high fructose corn syrup, found as a sweetener in many foods, has a major effect on the liver.

Carbonated beverages such as soda pop, consumed daily over long periods of time, may find a patient undergoing dialysis therapy several days per week as a way of life.

There is an oxidative process at the cellular level that increases the breakdown of your human body.

Holidays are filled with opportunities where eating heavy doses of sugar becomes very easy to do.

Dentists offer to buy sweet treats by the sack full after children have harvested massive quantities on Halloween.

These jestures are great community service projects.

During cold and flu season, one of the main items to significantly reduce is refined process sugar.

In an article by Tim Skwiat, he explains in detail one of the top three foods to avoid when cold and flu season are upon us.

At the top of his list is refined processed sugar.

There has been an alarming rate of patients to show up this season in emergency rooms for medication and breathing treatments related to cold and flu season.

It appears the flu vaccination covers very few of the many strains of viral infection that plague our citizens.

The goal of treating an upper respiratory infection is to hit it before it has a chance to set up house keeping in the lungs.

Make your primary goal if stricken by the flu, to treat it early with good nutrition, rest and proper aromatherapy.

The Food and Drug Administration states 50 grams of sugar daily can be detoxified by the body.

Holistic healthcare providers recommend no more than 30 grams of sugar daily.

This is due to the hidden quantities of sugar in our processed foods found in local grocery stores.

You must leave some room for error in your daily consumption of sugar.

One website, The People’s Chemist, informs the public that we should consume no more than 10 grams of sugar daily to greatly reduce chances of cancer formation.

Sugar is an element that feeds cancer.

Knowing that cancer grows significantly in the environment of sugar empowers those who eat to live instead of the other way around.

Eating heavy doses of sugar places the patient at risk for sickness in its many forms.

From the Diary of my enlightenment, Clark, D.D.S.

Why teeth decay? For several reasons, teeth decay and diminish your ability to chew certain foods.

Teeth decay for many reasons

In our modern world processed foods only rule the day if healthier

choices are not an option.

Farmer’s markets are available all over America.

Whole food grocers stock organic food items for greater nutrition choices.

You will find sugar in its various forms in many of our large super markets.

Starches and carbohydrates also contain certain types of sugar.

High cavity rates are usually the result of a diet high in sugar content.

Some of our most favorite beverages, soda pop, coffee, baby formula and others will surprise you regarding their

high sugar content.

Patients are informed to wean themselves from drinks with a high sugar content.

To date science has documented the inflammatory processes in our bodies that result from sugar intoxication.

Skin lesions, heart problems, diabetes, yeast and fungal infections, cancer and the disease of the century

Alzhiemers, are some of the major players in the oxidative process that causes havoc in our bodies.

Let’s face it we have a hard time giving up our sweet treats that are capable of killing us.

Our bodies are designed to process certain ranges of sugar consumption.

Make your life an easier one by keeping sugar in its proper perspective.

Enjoy sugary foods in moderation.

Sodas contain phosphoric acid, therefore after consuming, wait a minimum of one hour to brush.

The phosphoric acid breaks down tooth enamel thus softening your teeth.

By waiting one hour to brush the teeth are not as vulnerable to the acid attack from the soda.

Simply rinsing the mouth immediately after ingestion of sugary foods and drinks reduces the risks of the tooth decay

Cancer is fed by the unhealthy consumption of too much sugar.

A great treatment fighter to reduce your chances of cancer is the cessation of sugar ingestion.

When healthcare teams pound this point home, those extra servings of sweet treats can be bypassed with the greatest of ease.

Restoration of the mouth is best viewed through the eyes of those who teach and practice preventative oral medicine.

Oral medicine is best practiced with knowledge why teeth decay, usually because of sugary foods.

In fact the entire body is under attack in a state of disease because of excess sugar ingestion.

You can return your body to a state of health drastically cutting back on sugary foods.

The body, your temple for life, will thank you.

Why teeth decay is mainly due  to sugar addiction. It can be treated with drastic reduction in sugar consumption.
